STATEMENT

I have worked in the decorative painting and conservation industry for the past twenty years, including the past 4 years at Evergreene. Trying to select highlights is difficult since I have worked on over 150 projects in 42 states, but one stunning example stands out. The first paint study I undertook at EverGreene was at the Opera House in Portsmouth, NH - the first ten square inches uncovered included a face, which was part of a cartouche, which was part of a massive Victorian style scroll motif. Decoration featuring acanthus motifs have been a part of building ornamentation for thousands of years. I have always enjoyed the creative interpretations of classic acanthus leaf motifs in historic buildings, and enjoy interpreting them in my own art work.

Bryon is from Wisconsin & lives in Boyd, WI.
